Gloria Myles Smith

With much love spread and many memories shared, our beloved Gloria accepted her angel's invitation into the kingdom on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton, New Jersey. As a result, our hearts are less bright butwe know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter.

Gloria Ann Myles-Smith was born March 25, 1953 to Fred and Adeline Myers in Leland, Mississippi.

She attended Abraham Lincoln Attendance Center and graduated from Leland. High School. Gloria moved to New Jersey and attended Mercer County Community College. She was previously employed New Jersey Corrections and she was vice president of CWA Local 1033, Department of Transportation and Motor Vehicle Commission. Her greatest joy was being a mom to Akllah and Chunga. She'll also be remembered for being an awesome grandmom and aunt.

Gloria was a member of Soul Savings Missionary Church under the direction of Reverend Ernest Mitchell III.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Akilah K. Mack; her parents Fred and Adeline Myers; her brothers Joe Louis, Fred Jr., Robert James and Ray Myers.

Gloria's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by her son Chunga A. Mack; granddaughter Quaderia "Asia" Mack; grandsons Denim and Yassir Mack; sisters Mary Tate, Rose (James) Phillips, Dorothy Edwards; a host of her nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 1pm Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618 . Calling hour will be 12pm until the time of service. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
