Gloria White was born in Walabasa, Florida. She is oldest of five siblings. She moved to Trenton, NJ in 1964. Later, she met and married
Joseph White Sr. (deceased) She worked as a nurses aid at Meadow Lakes in Hightstown, NJ and the Greenwood Nursing Home in Trenton/Ewing, NJ. She also worked as a private duty aid and worked in several homes caring for the elderly.
She was a member of Miracle Pentecostal Church of Deliverance, Trenton, NJ, under the leadership of the Late Overseer R.L Trammell for over 35 years, where she served on the missionary board and later became a Deaconess. Even after the passing of her mother-in-law Overseer R.L Trammell, she continued her membership under the leadership of Pastor
Patricia Penix-McEachern. She also sang in the combined choir. She was known for her beautiful smile and laughter wherever she went. She loved to dress, and everything from her hair to her clothing had to be in place. She also loved to go shopping, family gatherings, church, and most importantly praising God.
Missionary Gloria White was predeceased by- her husband Joseph White Sr. and sister Sherlene Ellis. She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Jewel Ellis, two daughters, Ca'Tonya Jones and Olivia White, one son Joseph White Jr. She also leaves to mourn three brothers, Alonzo Engram, Herbert Ellis and Charles Ellis, one sister Mae Frances Ellis. She has six grandchildren, Le'Tique Davis, Kyeime White, Kiara West (Dayvon), Kabrea Hopkins, Natassia Simmons, and Javone Jones. Four great grandchildren, Kyiem White Jr. Khalia White, De'onte Davis and . Jonathan (Milky) Clark. A god-daughter and special friend Norma Williams, god-son Rueben Trammell Jr., five sister-in-laws, three brother-in-laws and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral service will be 11am Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Emmanuel Pentecostal Temple of the Apostolic Faith, Inc, 203 Hutchinson Rd, Robbinsville Twp., NJ 08691. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service. Interment will be private. Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home.
