Greg Johnson Sr.

Greg Anthony Johnson Sr, age 51 was born at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY on February 13,1971 and sadly departed us on January 18, 2023. He was a resident of Trenton/Ewing, NJ for 42 years. Greg attended Ewing HS and Mercer County Community College.

Upon leaving M.C.C.C. Greg briefly followed in his mother’s footsteps and started working in the Mental Health field. After fulfilling his purpose in the Mental Health field, Greg decided to become his own boss.

Greg started 4 G’s HVAC LLC & was the Owner/Operator and the town’s most beloved General Contractor. Greg was a pillar for his community and very philanthropic. He gave endlessly and tirelessly to those in need, whether in the form of encouragement, advice, or tough love. Greg’s spirit impacted everyone he met.

Greg is predeceased in death by his Maternal grandmother Velma Chin-Walker, Grandfather Edgar Walker Sr., Uncles Roy & Kenneth Walker, and his cousin Jeffrey Bariffe. His Paternal Grandmother, Muriel Johnson, and Aunt Joy Skeene.

Greg is survived by his Mother Geita Rose Johnson, Father Lyndell L. Johnson (Beverly Johnson), his four children, Greg Johnson Jr., Fiancé Dasianique “Nikki” Peeples, and his only grandson Greg A Johnson III (Montara Tabb), His only daughter Gianni Johnson (Nia Rambough) and Gary & Gavin Johnson (Lori Smith). His four siblings, Gary Johnson, Seychelles Doyley (Michael Doyley Jr.), Neal Johnson (Vanessa Johnson) & Tara Carrington (John Carrington). His Maternal Aunts, Elaine Toppin (Neville Toppin), Verna Walker, Valerie Walker, and last surviving uncle Edgar Walker Jr. His Paternal Aunts Claire Cameron, Glenna “Blossom” Smith, and Uncle J.D. Johnson.

His cousins Kenneth, Nicola & Camille Walker, Terri Anne & Ricky Williams, Annie Snow (Delroy Snow), Keisha Nicholas (Kerry Nicholas), Corinne Weathers, Malaika Schmidt, Tamika Pinto, Nadia Irish, Wayne Walker, Tania Walker, Sherone Smith-Sanchez, Shaun Smith, Otis Johnson, Duane Johnson, & Dionne Shirley.

Greg also leaves to mourn a host of childhood friends, Sean Legette (Wise), Kacey Hill, Darryl Copeland, Jason Newsome (JNew), Derwin Page (Divine), Jason Currington (Duppy Dup), Andre Brooks (KD), Henry Branch, Brian Council, & Tony Johnson(Big Tone). A host of other friends, God-children, and his beloved bike crew 3WM NJ.

The viewing will be held Monday, January 30th from 10 am to 12 noon, with service followed immediately after at Trinity Cathedral Church on West State St. 3WM NJ will do a special ride through the city and conclude at Ewing Church Cemetery. The repass will be held at Ministerios Fraternidad Cristiana (old Lighthouse building) immediately after the cemetery.
