Gus lee Chambers departed this life Wednesday December 9, 2020 at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton NJ. Born in Mappsville Virginia,
Gus was educated in the Allentown Public School System, where he was all state in Track and Field, Baseball and Basketball. After high school, he worked for Delaval Corporation. later
Gus became self-employed in the recycling business until he became disabled, where he made a host of connections and life long friends.
Predeceased by his Mother Elizabeth (Barnes) Robinson, father Gus Chambers Sr., a brother, Abraham lee Johnson, two sisters, Virginia lee (Johnson) Feggins, and Dorothy Mae Chambers, a daughter Doris Renee Chambers, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Gus is survived by 6 children, Edward Chambers (Stephanie), Ernest Chambers (Conisha), Rosalyn Chambers, Juanita Chambers, lovely James and Tommie Gavin, a life partner Silvia Holt, (14) grandchildren, (15) great grandchildren, his former wife and friend Barbra Chambers, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Gus, a man full of love and the heart of a giant, loved by everyone. With his warm and giving heart, he will surely be missed.
Services will be 12-2pm Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Interment will be at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Ewing, NJ.
