Harold C. Brown Obituary

Harold Charles Brown affectionately known as Bopete, transitioned on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton, NJ.

Born on November 9, 1952, in Denmark, SC, to the late Arthur A. and Eartha B. Brown, Harold's family later moved to Trenton, NJ. There, he received his education in the Trenton Public School system, foundational years that shaped the dedicated man he would become.

Harold later settled in Ewing, NJ, where he built a life rich in faith, family, and selfless service. He was the beloved husband of Brenda L. Brown for 52 years, a testament to a bond built on unwavering love, mutual respect, and shared devotion. As the patriarch of his family, he guided them with wisdom, strength, and an abundant heart. His fierce love showed in every part of his life, especially in the deep, caring connections he formed with everyone he met.

An Elder of the Church of the Lord Jesus, Harold was deeply committed to his faith, serving as a powerful minister to all he encountered. He later joined Worship Church in Ewing, NJ, where he founded a Men's Ministry. As its dedicated leader, he touched countless lives, offering guidance, support, and spiritual nourishment to men seeking to walk closer with God. His ministry extended far beyond the walls of the church; Harold genuinely ministered to everyone he met, leaving an indelible mark through his compassion and unwavering belief.

Harold retired from Glen Gary Brick Yard after more than 25 years of dedicated service. Beyond his direct ministry, he founded and operated Spiritual Life Recovery Center, a NJ non-profit, and was a respected community leader known for his dedication to making a positive impact on those he served. His compassionate spirit also shone brightly as a foster parent for over ten years, providing a loving and stable environment for children in need.

In addition to his beloved parents, Harold was predeceased by mother-in-law Emma Jordan; granddaughter Jasmin Brown; sister Lenora A. Brown; brothers Arthur A. Brown Jr, and Ferrell Brown; brother in-laws Larry Jordan, James McRae and Curtis Thomas; nephew Arthur Wayne Hall, and great niece QuiAsia Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Brenda L. Brown; and his loving children: Ebony Brown of Ewing, NJ; Troy Brown of Trenton, NJ; and Bryant Geddes Sr. (Ayanna) of Burlington, NJ. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Troy Brown Jr., Jonique Brown, Bryant Geddes Jr., Wayne Brown, John Brown, Tamya Brown, Amirah Brown, and Ryan Geddes; one great-grandchild, Bryant Geddes III.

Also cherishing his memory are his siblings, Arnell Brown (Joyce) of Ewing, NJ, Loretta McRae of Mount Holly, NJ, Patricia Thomas, Tyrone Brown (Dorshonda) of Trenton, NJ, and Tammie Brown of Ewing, NJ; his sisters-in-law, Barbara Johnson (Sandy) of Texas, Patricia Burris (Willis) of Florida, and Janet Jordan of Trenton, NJ; his favorite uncle, Stanley Brown (Joyce); and two aunts, Idallas Steed of Philadelphia, PA and Lelia Hill of San Diego, CA.
