Hazel Moore Obituary

Hazel Lois Moore, aka batman, 66 years old, born on February 23, 1957, in Trenton, New Jersey, daughter of the late Hardy Moore and Loyce Darden, departed from this life on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, in New Brunswick, NJ.

Hazel was educated in the Trenton public school system where she received her high school diploma at Trenton Central High School in Trenton, NJ. She also attended Mercer County College and received her associate degree in business. She went on to work for the Henry J. Austin Health Center, as a front desk clerk, she also worked for Mercer County Board of Social Services as a Senior Clerk Typist, where she retired.

Hazel gave her life to the Lord and became a member of the New Bethel Holy Church under the Late Bishop Melvin Fleming Sr. She was faithful and dedicated to the church and led others to Christ by her living testimony. Hazel became the lead soloist for the church choir and enjoyed leading the worship services.

Hazel believed in the power of prayer, her prayer group was called the “Eternal Blessed Hope” where she joined in street ministry and witnessing, passing out tracts, and visiting nursing homes throughout the city.

Hazel later joined the Mt. Ebenezer Church and served as a faithful member under Bishop Margaret Payton. Hazel was never shy about her praise; she was the first to hit the floor when it came to dancing for the Lord.

In her past time, she enjoyed gourmet cooking, and watching cooking shows on television.

Hazel was predeceased by her mother Loyce Darden, and father Hardy Moore, two sisters, Rosemary Volcy and Eleanor Moore, her niece Jaleana Signal and her beloved fiancé Louis Conover.

Hazel leaves to cherish her memory seven siblings, six sisters Janie Moore, Barbara Moore, Louise (Trevor) Tyme, Toni Moore, Betty Moore, DeIIa Moore and one brother Hardy Moore Jr. aka/Robin all from Trenton, NJ. One Aunt, Margaret Harris, her great niece/god(laughter Tommia a special nephew/grandson Joshua special friends Mozel Daye, and Violet Bridgeman and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

 

Funeral service will be 11am Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Princeton Deliverance Center, 301 Southard St., Trenton, NJ 08609 . Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Ewing, NJ. Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home.
