Hector Luis Lopez, age 54, was born to Johnny and Laidy Ruth Lopez on Thursday, November 18, 1971, in beautiful Trenton, New Jersey. Hector changed his residence.to Heaven on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
While in public schools, Hector excelled at baseball and track. At 12 years old, his pitches reached 72 MPH, and yes, the batters' box emptied quickly. After Trenton High, Hector went on to groom hair, where his natural talents contributed to his hair-cutting fame.
Hector worked as a disc jockey. His constant aim to make everyone feel at home helped by his charismatic flare, made Hector a sought-after DJ. Yes, we're sorry if you missed him.
Hector struggled in life. From birth, a visible deformity of his right ear prevented him from social confidence as a child and from hearing well ALL his life.
Hector leaves behind, Sonya Stefanik, age 54, a friend and partner for 25 years, Marissa Garcia, age 33, Amanda Avalos, age 23, Hector Lopez Jr., age 31, Angel Lopez, age 2; four beloved grandchildren Liam Yashinsky 13, Landyn Vanhorn 11, Kynsley Vanhorn 8, Karter Vanhorn 4; two beloved stepbrothers1 Johnny and Joel; a beloved stepsister Eilleen, and countless friends, who, like 'all of us, will miss Hector very much.
A Look Back At Hector Luis Lopez
LAUGHTER and Making Dithers Feel Valued' were exactly the two most notable habits in Hector's life… very much like his mom's.
My father was a ray of Sunshine 'in human form; says Amanda Avalos (formerly Lopez), what a beautiful way to describe a Dad, Sunshine in Human Form.
This was very 'difficult to write,' says Pedro Garcia (growing up together cousin) when asked to 'tell us something special about Hector.' His brother Johnny actually use 'the word 'EXCITING' to describe Hector.
Two days before death, Hector said to his favorite Uncle, - 'Uncle, I want to devote the rest of my life to helping Rids in whatever way I can.'
Like each of God's creatures, Hector was truly very unique. Similar to some and unlike all others. He was a rough and tumble boy who became a gentle and adoring Dad.
WE WILL ALL REMEMBER YOU HECTOR, especially your Grandfather.
