With much love spread and many memories shared, our beloved Henry accepted his angel's invitation into the kingdom on Sunday, March 23, 2025 in Trenton, New Jersey. As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter.
Henry Williams Sr. was born July 27, 1932, in Quincy, Florida to Johnnie and Callie Dixon Williams.
He left Quincy and joined the United States Army where he was honorably discharged.
Henry relocated to Trenton where he met Sarah Hill, whom he married and had three children with, and they lived more than fifty happy years together.
In his leisure time, Henry loved watching western shows on television. He loved his family, and he really adored his grandchildren.
He was employed at Fort Dix Military Base for many years. He was also employed by the State Hospital and worked for park services at the Trenton Battle of Monument.
Henry was a wise man who instilled the wisdom of life in his children. He would say, "Money is your friend." He loved life and he leaves behind 4 generations of family that can remember the good
times and have a laugh about "Pop-Pop". Pop was a hero, not a zero.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife Sarah Hill Williams; his son Henry Williams Jr.
Henry's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by his daughters Marsha Williams (Stefan), Claudia White (John); his five grandchildren Nakia, Ebony, Milton (Mykia) Hill, Marshell Williams and Sam Bernard; eleven great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and counting; his sister/niece Lula Stokes of Albany, GA; his in-laws Mr. Russell Eugene Hill (Diana) of Ewing, NJ, Betty Peterson of Atlanta, GA, Linda Staton and Joyce Foxworth of Whiteville, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will 12pm Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 11am until the time of service. Interment will be 9:30 Monday, April 7, 2025 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA .
