Hermione Sykes

When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. 

 

With much love spread and many memories shared, our beloved Hermione accepted her angel's invitation into the kingdom on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 peacefully at home in Trenton, New Jersey. As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter. 

 

Hermione Melva Sykes, affectionately known as "Ronnie and Big Mamma" was born April 5, 1951 in Long Island, New York, to Gwendolyn James. Ronnie retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant in 2008, from Millhouse Nursing Rehabilitation Facility. 

 

In retirement, she enjoyed arts, crafts and bingo at the Elite Caring Adult Medical Day Care and was a devout member of True Servant Church. 

 

Hermione is predeceased by her husband Cary Sykes Sr.; son Rupert Eric Paul; brother Lawrence Carrington; sister Michele Parham. 

 

Ronnie is survived by her children, Wesley S. Paul and wife Zandra Cruz-Paul, Dawn Joel Paul, Tamika Tanya Paul arid daughter-in-law Stevone Paul. Her grandchildren, Paris Z. Henderson, Zachariah Paul, Michayla Paul, Kenya Paul, and Quincy Paul. Sister Carol Carrington and brothers Curtis Owens and Lamont Owens, along with a host of other family, friends and neighbors.
