Hetty Sargeant Obituary

Hetty Marvin Sargeant
August 19, 1946 - November 18, 2021
Hetty Marvin Sargeant was born in Barbados, West Indies to Arthur and Sybil Sargeant.
She had, from an early age, a very curious mind. This caused her parents to quickly enroll her in school. This was well in advance of the time for her to attend that institution.
As a career, she chose nursing as a profession. At a young age, Hetty studied nursing in London, England, and graduated with a degree as a Registered Nurse (RN). She worked there for a while, but then moved to France, where she was employed, and also studied French.
She loved to play the piano, sew, read and swim. She would hone her culinary skills by cooking exotic meals, from her travels, for family and friends.
Hetty traveled the world, but did not forget her family. She spoke fluently languages such as English, French, Spanish, and was studying Chinese. She also spoke some Russian and German. She put her linguistic skills to use by joining the English, French, Spanish and Chinese Congregations.
After Hetty's baptism, and as a symbol to do Jehovah's will, she soon began regular pioneering. She worked for many years in the French and Spanish fields in New Jersey, and the French field in Florida. She later spent some time in the Dominican Republic working in the English field there. With her flair for languages, she spent some months living in Taiwan and China. She traveled to many countries including Fiji, Russia, Germany, Spain, and Johannesburg, South Africa, to name a few.
Her faith in Jehovah was strong and unwavering. She was passionate about being a servant of Jehovah, and treasured their relationship. She would begin many conversations, or liberally sprinkle them, with the phrase "Our Father Jehovah" to underscore a point."
Hetty has left behind her precious seven brothers and two sisters, other relatives and friends to reflect on her beautiful life. Her parents, and two of her siblings are deceased. The friends from the many congregations which span the globe, are, too, treasuring her place, and impact, in their lives.
Hetty would often speak of the Resurrection. Revelation 21 : 4 was among the many texts that had significant meaning to her. One day, Jehovah, will call to life those who have died in Him. Hetty died looking forward to the Resurrection, and, now, waits for Jehovah to call her name. When this happens, Hetty's favorite phrase will come alive as she meets, and, falls into the arms of "Our Father Jehovah."
