Howard Shrieves

Howard Edward Shrieves, Sr. was born on July 27, 1962 to the late Ellis and Novella Shrieves in Modest Town, VA. At a young age, his family moved to New Jersey, where he remained a resident.

Howard was educated in the Trenton Public School System. He worked in various food service jobs. Howard attended Wayne Avenue Baptist Church.

On October 28, 2023, Howard departed this life for eternal rest at home.

In addition to his parents, Howard was predeceased by a brother, Elvest Shrieves.

He leaves to cherish his memories a daughter, Canielle Cameron of Trenton, NJ; a stepdaughter, Shanika Moss; four sons: Howard Shrieves, Jr., Tremaine Shrieves, Jermaine Shrieves all of Trenton, NJ, and Edward Nesbit of Lancaster, PA; a special sister, Theresa Jenkins (Daryl); two additional sisters, Sharon Shrieves-Ward of Trenton, NJ and Carolyn Ciccarello (Nick) of Morrisville, PA; a special nieces, Charis Jenkins, Mahogany Jenkins, and Janine Ward; a nephew, Daryl Jenkins, Jr., a host of grandchildren, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, including his friends, Benjamin Cloyd, Marvin Campbell, Daryl Salter; and a loyal friend, Bertha Moss.

Funeral service will be 11am Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
