Obituary

With much love spread and many memories shared, our beloved Inez accepted her angel's invitation into the kingdom on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Princeton Hospital in Princeton, New Jersey. As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter.

Inez T. Williams was born February 6, 1920 in Catawba, North Carolina to Martha Moore and Austin Turner. Over the years she has been beloved by many. This began with her parents and 17 siblings who were greatly instrumental in her coming to New Jersey. After that, there was her immediate family starting with her husband of 47 years Robert Williams.

She was educated in Catawba and Hightstown public school systems. Mrs. Williams has led a varied and interesting life. Through the years she cooked family meals and performed domestic work for various families in and around Princeton. She states that she has worked for well-known families such as the Kellogg's (cereal manufacturers), the A.N. Spinell family of Princeton, Mrs. Wallace (widow of Mr. Wallace of Carter-Wallace fame), The Kilgore Family (Dow Jones, Wall Street Journal and Princeton Packet) and others. She has also worked as the head waitress for Nassau Inn in Princeton, New Jersey and The Marriott Corp.

Inez has been a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Princeton for over 70 years. There she has served as a van driver, a gospel choir member, member of the Real Estate Board and was and still is on the Trustee Board.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Williams; one daughter Betty ok; seventeen brothers and sisters; her mother Martha Turner; her father Austin Turner; her granddaughter Martha Cook.

Inez's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by her daughter Karen R. Brooks (Robert Clack); son Robert E. (Lisa) Williams; grandchildren Kevin (Tonya) Turner, Nathaniel (Tanjia) Cook, Richard Cook, Sharon Cook, Sheree and Donovan (Jazmine) Williams, 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grand; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
