Obituary

Jacquelyn Elizabeth Jones was born on October 21, 1949, to the late Bennie Lee Jones, Sr. and Omelia King Jones. She accepted the Lord and was baptized at St. Mary's Baptist Church at an early age. God called her home on August 25, 2023.

She received her education from Camilla Consolidated High School in Mitchell County, Georgia and attended Mercer County Community College in Trenton, New Jersey.

Jacquelyn was united in Holy Matrimony on August 9, 1972 to Terryl Lee Williams and to this union three children were born: Terryl O'Neil, Anthony Carnell, and April Renee.

Jacquelyn was employed at the Dietary Department at St. Lawrence Rehabilitation Center for many years and JW Marriott Conference Center in Princeton, New Jersey.

On October 2, 1993, she was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Dave Freeman. Jacquelyn was baptized as a member of Jehovah's Witness on April 5, 2008 in Chattanooga, TN. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness Lawrence Congregation.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Stars Lady H.R. Smith and The Shriner's of Trenton, NJ. She was a softball player with Lawrenceville Green Machine Ladies softball team and played dual positions of pitcher and center field. She was also known as "Grandma or G" to Future Stars AAU Basketball Team.

She was an amazing cook and baker, and her specialties her pound cakes, sweet potato and apple pies. Many knew her as Ms. Jackie, the parent that played with all the children on Church Street, from kickball to softball. To her friends she was Jackie, Jac or Jack-Rabbitt. To her family she was "Rudy". She was the Sister, the Aunt, the Sister-in-law, Mother-in-Law, Cousin and Friend you could always depend on.

She was always down for a road trip and enjoyed driving and seeing the sites. She shared her smile with the world and could make anyone feel comfortable. As she progressed in life, she became a Grandmother and a Great Grandmother to many. By that, we mean all her grandchildren's friends and then some.

Jacquelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Freeman, her parents, Bennie Lee Jones, Sr. and Omelia King Jones; two sisters: Thelma Jones, Carolyn Jones-Kelson; a sister-in-law, Lilliania Jones; brothers-in-law: Cleveland Hayes, Edward Riggins, Philip Kelson, and Boysie Williams, Sr.

Jacquelyn leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Terryl (Donna) Williams, Anthony (Karen) Williams, and April Williams-Gammage, two sisters: Lila M. Hayes of Rahway, NJ, Claretha Riggins of Camilla, GA and one brother. Bennie Lee Jones, Jr. of Lithonia, GA,10 grandchildren: Baysean (Shamirau Reyes, Harry (Amber) Coles, Jr., Luis (Samantha) Williams, Jasmine Howell, Jordan Rollins, Terryl Williams, Jr., Deonna (Kwame) Bell, Jaquan Bethea, Howard Gammage and Nevin Gammage; 16 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
