James A. Teel II

James Alan Teel Il, affectionately known as "Jaymo” was born on July 29,1989, in Trenton, New Jersey, and departed this life on May 12, 2026.

James was educated in the Trenton Public School System and was a proud graduate of Trenton Central High School, Class of 2007. He was formerly employed as a driver with FedEx and Waste Management.

As a son, brother, uncle, and friend, James was known for his quiet strength, kind heart, and unwavering loyalty. He was always willing to offer encouragement, share a laugh, or lend a helping hand when it was needed most. A devoted sports fan, Jaymo loved football, baseball, and basketball, and he cherished every opportunity to spend time with family and friends. His warmth, compassion, and genuine love for others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Myra Worlds Allen; his maternal grandparents, Shirley and James Gore and Theodore Worlds; his paternal grandparents, Lucille Teel and Joseph Teel; his aunts, Roberta Teel and Pamela Teel; his uncles, Timothy Teel, Brian Teel, and Joseph Teel; his cousins, Robert Bynum. Ebony Teel, and Yemonja Teel; and his godbrother, Anthony C. Nixon.

He leaves to cherish his memory his father, James Alan Teel I; his siblings, Nacola (Thomas) Moses, John T. Worlds, Nijah Allen, Marquita Teel, Chanel (Mark) Teel, and godsister Tiffany Ramos.

He also leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephews: Chrishawn (Marcellus) Salter, Myesha Jenkins, Thomas Worlds, Avae Allen, Avani Stroye, Ashoni Stroye, Joaquin Ortiz, and Jahhi Teel; his cherished great-nephews, Marcellus Salter, Jordan Salter, Daquaye Gilchrist, and Beyshawn Worlds.

James shared a lifelong bond with his best friends, Bishon Teel, Kenny Rabb. Brian Teel Jr., and Derrick ("Nice") Leonard.

He also leaves to mourn and cherish his memory the Worlds, Teel, Hopkins, Leonards, Gores, Nixons, and Hickmond families, along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

James's quiet spirit, kind heart, and deep love for family and friends will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Funeral service will be 12pm Monday, June 1, 2026 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 11am until the of the service. Interment will be at Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton, NJ.
