On December 9, 2025 at 4:00 AM, the Lord sent angels to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center to carry our beloved James Bernard Crawford home, to sweet rest.
Jame was born on February 8, 1959 in Trenton, NJ to Willie James and Bernice Crawford. James was educated here in Trenton, NJ, attending Jefferson Elementary School, Junior High School #1, and graduating from Trenton Central High School in-1976.
In 1977. James enlisted in the United States Navy. While in the Navy, James was stationed on 4 Navy ships The USS New Orleans, Butte the USS Bainbridge, and the USS Nassau. He also worked as a Correction Officer in the Naval Brig for 3 years. In 1991, he was stationed in the Desert Storm War. On September 15, 1995, Japes officially retired from the US Navy
After leaving the Navy, James held several jobs. One, being a security guard for the Trenton Board of Education. He also worked as a security guard in Baltimore, MD and in Norfolk, VA.
James was the most loving and kind person you could ever meet. He was definitely a man of his word. He will definitely be missed by all who loved him.
James is predeceased by his parents, Willie James and Bernice Crawford; grandparents, Robert and Pinkie Worthen; younger brother Bruce Crawford and his wife, Debbie; three aunts, Mary Worthen, Darlene Latimer, and Doris Brown.
He leaves to cherish precious memories with his loving wife and caregiver, Mrs. Linda Crawford; four sons, Jermaine Crawford (Brenda), of Trenton, NJ, DeKuin Crawford, Jordan Crawford (Lizette) of Virginia; Jamell Robinson of Baltimore, MD; one daughter Janell Biscorff (Chris) of Baltimore of MD; two stepsons, William Bush (Miya), and Wayne Bush all of Trenton NJ; three grandchildren, Alianna, Zyaire, and Ashanti Crawford; one great-granddaughter Kingston Crawford; one living brother, Jeffrey Crawford (Joan), of Trenton, NJ; one aunt, Minister Sharon Burnett of Morrisville, PA; a special mother figure cousin, Yaaunde; a special friend, the late, Irvin Allen and special Godson, Irvin Allen Jr.; a long time family friend, Tim Harris; and,
Funeral service will be 11am Saturday, December 20, 2025 at New Bethel Kingdom Faith Ministries, 25 Weber Ave., Trenton, NJ. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service. Interment will be 10am Monday, December 22, 2025 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
