James has earned his wings. He answered the call suddenly on Saturday, May 9, 2020 and took his final flight home. Our hearts are less bright, but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, peace and laughter.
James Bell Jr. was born September 22, 1936 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Gladys Joseph and James Bell.
He was educated in the New Orleans public school system. After school James entered the military where he served twenty-five years in the United States Air Force. He was employed by the City of Trenton for twenty-five years as a custodian.
In his leisure time, James loved fishing. He enjoyed cooking as well.
He was preceded in death by his son James Bell III; his mother Gladys Joseph Bell; his father James Bell; his sisters Joyce Bell, Carroll Bell, Fobbs Bell; a brother Kenneth Bell Sr. James' memory will be cherished and forever remembered by his loving and devoted wife Beverly Bell; his son Leo Bell; his granddaughter Mariah Bell; three great grandchildren Ronell, Mahogany and J'or: his siblings Charles Bell Bell Sr., Norma Bell-Crockett, Mary Ellen Bell-Douglas and Joseph Wayne Bell; a god daughter Amillion Potter; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
