James A. Johnson, Jr. was born in Flemington, NJ to his parents, Helen E. Johnson and the late James A. Johnson Sr.. He attended Trenton Central High school in 1983 and was employed with Wells Fargo Security. Later In life, he became a volunteer for the Trenton Area Soup kitchen, where he continued to serve and feed those in need. He was also a dedicated member of Mission for Christ, Where his sister who is also his Pastor presided.
James is survived by his Mother, Helen E. Johnson, his children: James A. Johnson, III & April N. Johnson, His two sisters: Teresa E Johnson-Davis & Pastor Tysheika Johnson, His three brothers : Bishop Kenneth Johnson, Quinn Johnson and Miguel Johnson. His Brother in law: Stanley Davis, His estranged wife: Michelle Johnson. His significant other: Brenda Holt and her mother: Dorothy Poole, 3 grandchildren: Daijah, Daijriana & Delilah Johnson and a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins & friends.
James is predeceased by his Father: James A. Johnson Sr., His Grandparents: Hazel Long & William Johnson, Clara B. Smith and Seamon Smith, his Oldest Brother, Ronald D. Johnson, Sr, his Nephew: Jermaine "Mooky" Johnson, his niece: Wanda Johnson and numerous of cousins.
James was loved by many and will always be remembered for the kind and gentle character he portrayed. James submitted his life to God and encouraged others to also. One of his favorite scriptures is " Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen." Heb. 11:1
His legacy will carry on reminding us that we control our attitudes. . We choose to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service like Christ modeled for us.
Funeral service will be 11am Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618 . Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton, NJ.
