James W. Glover

Forever in our hearts, we announce the passing of James Walter Glover, of Ocala, Florida (formerly of Swedesboro, NJ) a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, son and brother.

Born on May 13, 1951, Trenton, New Jersey. James was fondly known as "Mack", "Daddy Mack" and "Buddy". He was also known for his unwavering kindness, sense of dry humor (but ever so funny) and devotion to his family. He will always be remembered for his kind heart, willingness to help, fix and repair anything "I can fix it."

Trenton Central High School is where he grad1.Jated, from there tie went to work at US Steel Mill until it's Trenton, NJ closure. He moved on to work at Hill Refrigeration, finally retiring from Burlington County Department of Transportation as a Supervisor. He found peace and purpose in landscaping, devoting himself to the beauty and care of his property. He had a gift for music as he was able to play a song after hearing it just a few times. His extensive vinyl collection aided him in his ability to play by ear. The hobbies that he enjoyed the most were watching sports as well as collecting sports cards. James' most treasured achievement was the love and care he showed by raising his children and on a ,· daily saying "Do The Right Thing" 

He was always reminiscing about his roots and the friends that he acquired while growing into the man that he became.

His faith in God was rooted deeply through the teachings of his parents and as a member of Galilee Baptist Church.

James was preceded in death by his father, Frederick L. Glover, and his brothers; Alfred Glover, Leroy Glover, Fred Glover, Jr., and son Joshua Gordon Glover. He is lovingly survived by his mother, Eunice R. Glover, and his sisters; Frieda Patten, Eunice, Glover-Adams and Faye Glover.

James is also survived by his best friend and wife of 54 years Cynthia, whom he affectionately called DyAnne and his 12 children; Tonya Anne Glover, Theresa Celestine Brown-Glover, James Walter (Yasmeen) Glover II, Jahmaal Isaiah Glover, Samuel John Glover, Jesse Thomas Glover, Tiffani DyAnne Glover, Cory James Glover, Teighlor CyMone Glover, Tylan Hamilton Glover and Chase Alexander Glover; 5 grandchildren, Samantha (Andre) Thomas, Raymond Brown-Glover, Joshua Glover, Josiah Glover, JaKobe Glover; and 2 great-grand-children, Ripleigh and Ace Thomas. Still counting children, he is also survived by 5 God children Endia, Kimberly, Shaun, Jahbari and Kamill.

Leaving behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends who will forever honor his memory.

Funeral service will be 11am Monday, March 23, 2026 at New Horizon Baptist Church, 200 Main Street Groveville, NJ 08620. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service at the church. Interment will be 10am Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
