Janae “Nae Nae” Tanie Boisseau 20 of Trenton, New Jersey passed away on March 9, 2025. She was born on June 7, 2004, in Trenton, New Jersey. She is the beloved daughter of Jarad Boisseau and Taura Haile-McCoy, and Grand Daughter of Michele Boisseau, Michael & Rosalind Laster, Thomas Haile. The Great-Grand Daughter of Gloria Stephens. The Godparents are Mrs. Constance Coleman and Mrs. Amanda Billups. Aunt Ms. Greona Boisseau and Uncle Mr. Michael Laster Jr.
Janae had a smile that could light up any room. Her presence was a source of warmth and joy, making everyone around her feel special.
She had a deep love for caring for people. So, it was no surprise she chose to work with children. She would excitedly share stories about her day at the daycare. She enjoyed babysitting her cousins and they enjoyed her. The little moments that made her job so rewarding and meaningful to her she cherished. She provided support to each child and assisted in their development.
Janae also had a love for tasty food. Her favorites included jerk chicken, Rasta pasta, tacos, and especially chicken fingers. She also had a sweet spot for Dairy Queen, always enjoying a treat from there.
Janae was a member of the Honor Society at Lawrence Middle School and a Cheerleader at Lawrenceville High School where she graduated. She began to pursue a RN Nursing Degree at Mercer County Community College. Music was another one of her joys. She cherished the special time she had at Saint Phillips. She liked all kinds of music, but even though she was young, she had a special love for old-school music because that is what she grew up listening to. Those classic songs brought back memories and connected her to the past in a way that felt comforting and familiar.
More than anything, Janae wanted peace. She carried herself with a calm and gentle spirit, always striving to bring harmony to those around her. She loved spending time with family and close friends, cherishing every laugh, every conversation, and every shared moment. And no matter where she was, she always had a way of spreading positivity—whether through her kind words, her warm spirit, or simply flashing her signature peace sign with her fingers.
Janae has a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She has special friends that she shared memorable moments with. They are Kiara Cesar-Jones and Ayana Bailey.
Funeral service will be 11am Monday, March 24, 2025 at St. Phillips Baptist Church, 445 Parkinson Ave., Trenton, NJ 08610. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service. Interment will be at Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton, NJ.
