Jeanette T. Bray, Trenton - Jeanette T. Bray age 85 passed away August 31, 2023, in Greensboro, NC. Jeanette was born September 14,1937, in Trenton NJ, daughter of the late John H Thompson and Fannie. She was a lifelong Trenton-Ewing resident and a graduate of Trenton Central High School. Jeanette was a retired Owner of Corner Day Nursery. where she worked for over 30 years. Corner Day graduates are all over the Trenton area and always showed her love and appreciation every time they saw her. It was the highlight of her day and she could call them by name. She loved and adored them all.

Jeanette joined Greater Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church at an early age, attending Sunday School. She served as a faithful member of the Owenite Usher Board. Jeanette was a quiet person, always willing to serve in any way she could. Jeanette was also a member of ECHO Mt Zion and TWIGS, Inc.

Jeanette was preceded in death by husband Donald G. Bray; brother William Thompson; sister Betty Thompson.

She leaves a loving legacy of sons Donald S. Bray II and Kenneth G. Bray (Donna); sister-in-law Judge Anne Thompson; nephews William Thompson (Kimberly), and Thomas Grice (Jamal); niece Sharon Thompson; grandchildren Nichole Bray, Sidney Bray, Jessica Negron, and Kenneth G. Bray, II; two nephews William Thompson (Kimberly) and Thomas Grice (Jamall); one niece Sharon Thompson; a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral service will be 11am Friday, September 15, 2023 at Greater Mt. Zion AME. Church, 34 Pennington Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.  Arrangements are by Hughes Funeral Home.
