Ms. Jeanette Dixon daughter of the late Doc and Mother Isa Robinson was born on December 5, 1933 in Hamilton Township, New Jersey. She attended Hamilton Township and Trenton Public Schools and graduated from Hamilton High School. At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined White City Church of Jesus Christ where she was a dedicated member.
Jeanette was united in Holy Matrimony to Lawrence Dixon on May 10, 1950. Jeanette was employed by the Marriott Corporation until her retirement in 2017. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality she was loved and respected by many and her influence will remain the in the lives of all who knew her. She was preceded in death by four children Philip Emmanuel, Renee Dixon, Robert Dixon and Barry Dixon.
Jeanette was a people person and had a very open heart to everyone she met and always made people feel welcome in her home. If they had children, she would let them know she would be their grandmother as well. She coordinated a Robinson Family Reunion which was well attended and organized. In the early days at White City Church she assisted Mother Isa Robinson witfi fundraising for the Church to help perpetuate the growth and building of the House of Worship. She was faithful and loyal to her Family and made endless sacrifices caring for her Parents until their transition to Heaven. She enjoyed inviting family over for backyard cookouts and it was such a joy for her to see everyone laughing, talking and enjoying life.
Jeanette is fondly remembered as trying to call one of her sons and would say, "Ronald, Brian Barry ..... you boy come here". Over the years we have found ourselves calling our children and utilizing the same statement.
Jeanette reaffirmed her faith in Jesus and departed this life for the next in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She would like to leave this message to those she is 'leaving behind:
Change for the Better
Throughout the adversity I've faced, my testimony has grown especially my faith in miracles. Miracles happen if we set out to do something with determination, consistency, and faith. Those who believe in our Heavenly Father can always have hope in any circumstances. 1 have had trials in my earthly life, but 1 didn't fear because trials can bring us closer to our Heavenly Father, who can help us know how to progress. My life and every difficult challenge I've been through remind me to turn to my Heavenly Father for help. And He has helped me change for the better. I am so glad I prayed for more faith, and I know through my trials, I have been able to serve my Heavenly Father and get so much closer to Him. Despite how my life has been altered by my trials, I'm truly happy and I'm so thankful to have come so far with my Heavenly Father's help. I can't wait for the day when I am resurrected when I'm able to see Him again..and tell Him, 'Thank you! Thank you for humbling me, thank you for shaping me, thank you for 'increasing my faith!
Jeanette is survived by four children. Stanley Magee, Darlene Woods (Bishop), Ronald Dixon (Brenda) and John Mark Jones. Adoptive Son Steve Williams. 24 Grandchildren and 34 Great Grandchildren
