Jermiah Wright

Obituary

When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure.

Our Lord and Savior called his faithful servant, our beloved Jermiah to rest on

Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Capital Health Hospital. As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the Heavens are filled with extra doses of Love, Joy, Peace and
Laughter.

Jermiah was born June 12, 1946 in Bladen County, Elizabethtown, North Carolina to Snodie Wright and Clifford Williams. He attended Bladen County School. He worked at Congoleum in Hamilton and retired from Bob McGuire in Bordentown.

In his leisure time, he enjoyed the casino, fishing, playing the lottery and sitting on the front porch talking to anybody who came by. He was a great listener and good friend.

He was a faithful member of Wayne Avenue Baptist Church for 30 years and also a dedicated member of the Senior Usher Board. Past District Grand Master of District #10, Past Worshipful Master of Jeremiah Lodge #125 (International F&AM Masons). He was a Mason for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Missouri Wright; mother Snodie Wright; his father Clifford Williams; 2 brothers Phillip and Douglas; a brother-in-law Robert Richardson.

Jerry's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by his loving companion for over 50 years Gloria Brown; his daughters Taneshia Wright-Bowen. Theresa Smith (Trancey). Kimberly Wright. NC. Alicia Brown and La Kisha Taylor; 2 sons Jamaar Wright. NC and Jerry Brown (Chanel); his sister Carolyn Richardson. NC; brothers James Sr. and Leroy (Hazel). NC; 15 grandchildren. 12 great grandchildren; a host of nieces. nephews. cousins. other relatives and friends.

God saw you getting weary, so He did what He thought best

He came and stood beside your bed, And whispered, 'Come and Rest'
You wished no one a fond farewell nor even said goodbye,

You were gone before we knew it And only God knows why.

When God called you to come to rest, you didn't go alone
For part of us went with you the day God took you home.

Sorrowfully submitted,
The Family
