Joan Gaynor

Joan Ruth Gaynor, departed this life on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Our Lady of Lourdes in Camden, NJ. after a sudden and brief illness. She was born September 5, 1941 to the late John and Lillie Mae Dyous.

Joan was educated in the Trenton Public School System and worked a variety of jobs before landing at her life long occupation as a nursing assistant. She worked for St. Francis Medical Center for more than 25 years before retiring.

Joan was married to the love of her life, Eugene Gaynor, in 1957. They faithfully devoted them selves to each other until his untimely death in 2003. Together they created a home they cherished for the majority of their lives. Their union was fruitful and bore six children, 4 adopted children, 23 grand children, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grand children.

Funeral service will be 10am Saturday May 23, 2026 at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 150 N. Clinton Ave., Trenton, NJ 08609. Calling hour will be 9am until the time of service at the church. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
