Joann Edwards

Joann Edwards was born on March 12, 1940, in Thomasville, GA. At the glorious age of 82, Joann departed this life on July 30, 2022, at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, NJ.

Joann was a long-time resident of Trenton, NJ. She was educated in the Trento Public School System. In the early 70’s, she worked at Skillman and in the 80’s, she worked at Trenton Custodial. She later went to work at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton, NJ, as an LPN and Nurses Assistant for 38 years before retiring.

Joann was predeceased by her mother, Josephine Fain; one daughter, Patricia Edwards; and two grandsons, Joshua Edwards and Jaiden Edwards.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories: one daughter, Sonya Edwards; three sons, Eric (Nicole) Edwards, Anthony Edwards, and James (Dana) Edwards; 14 grandchildren: Tarsha Pepper, Careese Edwards, Tamika Edwards, Ebony Ray, Raymond Peppers, Jamar Edwards, Eric Edwards, Jr., Brandon Edwards, James Edwards, Jr., Nyshea Edwards, Annyia Edwards, Sheree Edwards, Imani Edwards, and Jailen Edwards; 23 great-grandchildren: Solomon, Heaven, Careese Jr., Mahogany, Shamahd, Jules, Samear, Stephane, Ronaysia, TaBree, Tyrelle, Tyreek, Kaseem, Kristian, INAE, Za’hyrah, Novion, Tayvion, Jayon, Anyah, Jahmara, Jovmiyah, Elijah, Louise, Macie, Derek and Nayderah; two great-great-grandchildren, Solomon Jr. and Sapphir; and a host of other relatives and friends.
