Elder Johnnie Britt, was born on September 23, 1951 to the late Emma Lee Dixon. He departed this life on July 23, 2022 at Greenwood House surrounded by his loving family.
Johnnie, was born, raised and educated in Trenton, New Jersey. He worked for the New Jersey State Department of Corrections for 26 years. He married the love of his life Marjorie LaRue on August 13, 2005.
Johnnie, was ordained as an Elder with the Church of the Nazarene in 2011. He began his church Living Waters Mission in 2017.
Johnnie, enjoyed fishing, riding for the Anchor House (10 years), reading, spending time with family & friends and watching the Dallas Cowboys. He was an avid fan. He joins his mother and son William L. Britt Sr. in Heaven. "Our hearts are less bright, but we know the Heavens are filled with an extra dose of love, joy, peace and laughter.
Johnnie, leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving wife Marjorie Britt. 3 Daughters: Edveina Stanbury, Riquel Frost (Tracy) and Coryell LaRue. 1 Son: John E. Britt. 1 Brother: James E. Dixon (Traci). 1 Sister: Jeanette D. Fitch (John). 1 Goddaughter: Audrey Pierce. Special Daughter: Tyea Santiago. 18 Grandchildren: Kevin Stansbury (Eboni), Kalvin and Kenny Stansbury, Venessa Frost (Kwame), Kwesi Frost (Alicia), Taylor and Tori Frost, Elijah Hamilton, John Britt Jr., Jasmine Gross (Montigue), June, Jonny and John Britt, William, IjesNae and David Britt, Ja'Neice and Kai Worley. 15 Great Grandchildren. A host of Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.
Funeral service will be 11am Friday, July 29, 2022 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service. Interment will be at Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton, NJ.
