With much love spread and many memories shared, our beloved Joseph accepted his angel’s invitation into the kingdom on Monday, June 8, 2026 at Serenity Hospice in Hamilton, New Jersey. As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter.
Joseph Floyd Tucker was born Tuesday, October 23, 1923 in Ewing, New Jersey to Susie S. Tucker and Thomas Wade Tucker.He was educated in the Ewing Township public schools.
He entered the military where served in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged. After returning home he was employed as a welder. He was employed by Princeton University as a swimming pool attendant, and he worked for the Senior Center of Ewing.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed trips to Atlantic City. Joe had a passion for shooting pool, and he was a champion when he competed. He also enjoyed traveling and spending quality time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Susie S. and Thomas W. Tucker; his four sisters Rose, Louise, Bertha and Christine; his three brothers; his son-in-law Kenneth Solomon.Joseph’s memory will be cherished and forever remembered his son Bradford L. Tucker; his daughter Wendy Solomon; a grandson Justin Solomon; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and freinds.
Funeral service will be 11am Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
