Karen Y. Kelly

Beloved mother, daughter and friend, Karen Y. Kelly (62) passed away peacefully on July 18th, 2025.

Karen was born in Trenton, NJ and was a longtime resident of Ewing, NJ. She retired from NJ State Police in 2024.

Karen is survived by her mother Esther Lucas, sibling Michael Ballard, daughters Le'Shea Ballard (Jermaine), Shahidah Aaron (Dayron), and Shanay Ballard, grandchildren Mekhi Holley, Jayel Clark, Jamir Aaron, Bree Aaron, Kirstyn Nock and Kason Taylor, and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends.
 
A private family service will be held in honor of Karen as she wished. The family thanks Hughes Funeral Home for their compassion and support.
