Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Kaye Selena Parrish
With deep love and sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Kaye Selena Parrish, who transitioned fromlabor to reward on December 2, 2025, at the age of 71. She was born on July 9, 1954, in Princeton, New Jersey, to the late Emmitt Dennis and Eleanor Mae Parrish. She was educated in the Hightstown Public School System.
Kaye was a woman of strength, grace, and unwavering faith. She was known for her love of helping people, her kind heart, beautiful smile, amazing cooking, and for always putting family first. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and perseverance that will live on through all who knew her.
Kaye loved her family deeply- especially her grandchildren and her precious great-grandson, affectionately known as "Mister Man." She was a special angel to many, with a selfless spirit and an incredible ability to lift others during difficult times. Whether through a home-cooked meal, a listening ear, a helping hand, or heartfelt prayer, Kaye was always willing to give of herself without hesitation. Her compassion, wisdom, and joyful spirit touched countless lives.
Kaye was employed by Staples, Inc. in Cranbury, New Jersey, for several years. She was also employed by the East Windsor Public School Food Services Department and spent many summers caring for children as a Counselor at Dawes Park in Hightstown, where she was loved by both the children and their families.
Kaye accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and became a faithful member of St. James AME Church, where she served devotedly for many years. She was actively involved with the Usher Board and truly loved the Lord and His people. Later in life, she continued her walk of faith and enjoyed fellowshipping at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church of Hightstown, New Jersey.
She was predeceased by her parents, Emmitt Dennis and Eleanor Mae Parrish; her brother, Dennis Parrish: and her sister, Donna Parrish.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory: one daughter, Eleanor Parrish of East Windsor, NJ; one son, Dana Terrell Parrish of Birdsboro. PA: three grandchildren, Duane and Destiny Spearman of East Windsor, NJ, and Jordan Parrish of Birdsboro, PA; one great-grandchild, Ky'aire Stringfield, lovingly known as "Mister Man": siblings, Denise Jones (Raymond) of Mandeville, LA; her beloved twin sister, Faye Parrish of Hightstown, NJ; and David Parrish of Trenton, NJ; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many special friends.
Funeral service will be 12pm Friday, December 12, 2025 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 21 Rev. William L. Powell Dr., Hightstown, NJ, 08520. Calling hour will be 11am until the time of service. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hightstown, NJ.
