Lakesha Arnetta Tripp, affectionately known as “Kesha,” was born on October 29, 1972, and entered eternal rest on August 14, 2025, at the age of 52.
Born and raised in Trenton, NJ, Kesha graduated from Trenton Central High School and later attended Mercer County College. Guided by her faith, she accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at Union Baptist Temple in Atlantic City on April 4, 1985, alongside her brothers, under the leadership of the late Rev. Matthew E. Neil.
Embraced by the nurturing love of her grandmother, Elizabeth “Mommy Lou” Tripp, Kesha thrived as a member of Union Baptist Temple. As an active participant in the Youth Choir, Sunday School, Girl Scout Troop #74, Vacation Bible School, and Camp Cedar Knoll, her early years were marked by faith, fellowship, and community.
Though Kesha’s time on this earth feels far too short, her presence was unforgettable. She had a gift for finding humor in the everyday and reminding those around her not to take life too seriously. Her radiant smile could light up a room and her laughter was contagious. She will truly be missed.
Kesha is predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Anna Lee Hall and Ulysses Tuff, paternal grandparents, Elizabeth (Chester) and Clayton Tripp, Sr., and a sister, Tamica Ann Tripp. She leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Christine Parker Tripp and Henry Tripp, Sr., a daughter, Shavasia Tripp, a son, Najir Tripp, four grandchildren, Zamir Tripp, Aniry Neal, Tamiya Pack, and Davion Zitnick, siblings, Henry Tripp, Jr., Darnell Tripp (Lakeisha Pullen), Bernice Carney, Stephnie Baldwin, and Marion Johenkins, and a host of family and friends.
Kesha's legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friend
