Lauretha Ausmore

With much love spread and many memories shared, our beloved Lauretha accepted her angel's invitation into the kingdom on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at Helene Fuld Hospital in Trenton, New Jersey. As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter.

Lauretha J. Ausmore was born Tuesday, June 9, 1953 in Fort Dix, New Jersey to Hilliard and Lauraaretha Ausmore.

She was educated in the Trenton public school system. Lauretha furthured her education while attending Mercer County Community College. She was emplyed at Prince Manufacturing for over 30 years, and she also worked for the Trenton Marriott where she retired from both employers.

In her leisure time, "Nita" as she was affectionately named, loved to entertain or host different things. She loved to create many things. Family gatherings was her pride and joy.

She was predeceased by her daughter Cynthia D. Rainer; her god daughter Shante Priester; her parents Hilliard and Lauraaretha Ausmore; her sisters Ethel and Rose Burton, Monica Ausmore, Cheryl Miller; her brothers Rick J. Keys and Gerald A. Keys.

Lauretha's memory will be cherished and forever remebered by her daughter LaTresha Kennedy (Mark); her god daughter Jasmine Gates; her partner Ephriam Stewart; four sisters Leona and Lenora Ausmore of White Springs, FL, Lavania Keys of Trenton, NJ and Antoinette Jones (Greg) of Tucson, AZ; three sisters-in-law Stephanie R. Ausmore of Hamilton, NJ, Denise Keys and Brenda Gary both of Trenton, NJ; her three brothers Gary Ausmore, Lawrence Ausmore (Liz) and Carmen Booth all of Tren- ton, NJ; aunt Frankie Smith of Trenton, N); her grandchildren Marquise J. Kennedy (CeCe), Marcaisia Kennedy, KaVonya Kennedy (Jabre), Tamyra Kennedy, Khameron Gates and Sanai Fisher, great great grandchildren Braelynn Tilgham, Madison Kennedy, Najee and Maziya Hamilton and Jabri Baker Jr." a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

Funeral service will be 12pm Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 11am until the time of service. Interment will be private.
