Leslie P. Moore was born November 21, 1960, to the late Antonea F. Moore-Horton and Thomas Ball. Leslie departed his life on April 13. 2026, at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, NJ.
Leslie was a lifelong resident of Trenton, NJ, he was educated in the Trenton Public School system and graduated from Trenton Central High School. Shortly after graduating high school, Leslie enlisted into the Army, after returning home Leslie took up several trades. barbering school, maintenance and carpentry. Leslie worked at Ball's Carpet for many years, which he enjoyed the most.
Leslie loved playing spades and was truly the best at it. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially cherishing the moments when his grandchildren came to town. Leslie had a giving spirit, he was always willing to help his sisters with anything they needed and took pride in painting their houses, also laying their carpet.
Leslie was a beautiful person, both inside and out, and the best brother his sisters could have ever asked for. He carried a warm smile everywhere he went and always had a few slick, witty words to share He loved to dance, be himself, and show off his skills on the pool table. A proud fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Leslie lived life with joy laughter, and love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
In addition to his mother, Leslie was predeceased by a special sister Gina Granby; and nephew, Shawn Moore.
Leslie leaves to cherish his precious memories: two children, Leslie Moore-Turner (Michelle) and Lydia Turner- McNeal (Sheldrick) eight grandchildren: Emerson, Emory, Emilyn, Camille, Ember Michelle, Sheldrick Ir. Tiana, and Shealyn; four sisters, Antonea Moore (Tim), Esther Miller, Tracey Wells, and Bernice Moreland (Thomas); three aunts, Bernice Moore, Etelvenia Smith, and Pauline Bailey; a special niece, Sade Miller; a special nephew, Calvin Moore; a favorite cousin, Arthur "Art" Moore; his Godbrother, Michael King. two good friends, Wayne King and Samuel Brantly; a special lady friend for over 30 years, Karen Hodges; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 2pm Monday, April 27, 2026 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 1pm until the time of service. Interment will be private.
