Lewis Richardson of Trenton, New Jersey was born on December 12, 1944, in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina to Pattie Lucille Richardson and James Richardson.
Lewis passed away on July 18, 2021.
Lewis retired as a driver for the Home Front organization in Lawrenceville, New Jersey after working there for many years. After retiring from Home Front, Lewis worked for the Hamilton Township Traffic Department as a crossing guard at Paxon Avenue and Nottingham Way from September 2015 to August 2020. Lewis enjoyed fishing, watching sports and visiting casinos when he was not working.
Lewis leaves behind Mary Whitaker of Trenton, New Jersey; his companion for over 35 years. Lewis is survived by 2 children: Sharon Alston of Trenton, New
Jersey and Lewis (Jacqueline) Richardson, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada. Lewis leaves behind 5 grandchildren:
Shaquayah Lawton, Erin Cade, Corey Richardson, Brielle Richardson and Malachi Richardson. Lewis leaves behind 8 great grandchildren: Jordan Rivera,
Tiana Lawton, Camille Brown, Tristyn Lawton, Chloe Richardson, King Richardson, Kody Richardson and Karter Richardson. Lewis is survived by 4 sisters: Marie
Richardson of Trenton, New Jersey, Lucille Williams of Trenton, New Jersey, Rosa Matthews of Los Angeles, California and Madgalene Richardson of Trenton New Jersey. Lewis leaves behind, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 1pm Friday, July 30, 2021 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 12pm until the time of service. Interment will be private.
