The Journey
Linda Grover Ross also known to most as Candy , aged 70 passed away on February 5, 2026. Born to the late Gloria Skipwith Grover and Wilmer Grover, Linda was a vibrant soul who lived life on her own terms. A true lover of music, she famously walked to the beat of her own drum, bringing a unique energy and spirit to everyone who knew her.
Linda was nurtured and raised by a "village of love" in Princeton, New Jersey. She was shaped by the deep care of her family, especially her aunts Grace, Virginia, and Doro-thy, and her uncles Willie and Thomas, all of whom preceded her in death.
Legacy of Love
Linda's life was defined by many obstacles and challenges, but she never let it get her down. She would just keep moving on with life no matter what life threw at her. Even while she faced the profound loss of her beloved daughter, lnesha Ross Howe, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, Linda remained a pillar of strength for those who remained.
Linda's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by her children: Joseph Ross Jr. and Sharlene Howe; her grandchildren: Rahmil Eggleston, Rayshown Howe, Ra'Von Howe, and Ranar Howe; siblings: Patricia Carr, Ralph Grover, Shirley Mass, Jean Holloway, Irene Diggs, Georgia Grover, and Barbara Grover; her devoted cousin: Cynthia Moore; her nieces and nephews: Gloria Grover, Erica Taylor, Gerald Grover Jr., Darrow Murdock, Ray Burton Jr., and a vast host of extended family and friends.
Reunited in Peace
Linda joins those who went before her, including her parents; her daughter, lnesha; her sister, Gloria "Honey" Taylor; her brothers, Ray Burton and Gerald "Chicago" Grover Sr.; her grandparents, Mary Alice and Castor Skipwith, and Wilmer and Betsy Grover.
A Memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Interment will be private.
