Loreen Bess

Loreen Bess, age 74, of Trenton, New Jersey, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 4th, 2025, at Serenity Hospice Care Impatient Unit surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.

Born on Thursday, March 1, 1951 in Trenton to Willie lee Johnson and Laura Mae Lemon. Loreen lived a life filled with purpose, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.

She was educated in the Trenton public school system and attended Trenton Central High School. She retired as a shift manager at the Macy’s Department Store.

In her leisure time, Loreen loved to shop. She enjoyed taking bus trips, especially to Atlantic City. Loreen also enjoyed selling products for Avon and traveling.

She was preceded in death by father Willie Lee Johnson; her mother Laura Mae Lemon.

Loreen's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by her two sons Ernest L. Bess Jr. and Demetrius L. Bess; her daughter Tameika S. Bess; a grandson Adolphus Hayes IV; her two brothers Ernest Lee Johnson of Washington and Ernest Ray Johnson of Marietta, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11am Friday December 19, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service. Interment will be private.
