With much love spread and many memories shared, our beloved Lou Ida departed on Thursday, April 6, 2023 in Trenton, New Jersey. As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter.
Lou Ida Knight, born October 17,1936 in Pompano Beach, Florida to Samuel Francis and Donnie Bradwell.
She was educated in the Ewing public school system and she graduated from Ewing High school. Lou Ida was employed by Northern Princeton Developmental Center in Skillman, where she also retired.
She was preceded in death by her father Samuel Francis; her daughter Anita Knight; a nephew Samuel Francis Jr.; her mother Donnie Bradwell; stepmother Rosy Doby; her sister Jeanette Francis Sims.
Lou Ida memory will be cherished and forever remembered by her husband Walter Knight of seventy years of marital bliss; her three children Elizabeth, Antonio (Diane) and Darlene (Alford Knight); twenty grandchildren Chelese (Lino Rosario), Elouzie (Melissa), Edward (Tametra), Eliza (Jack), Tyshann Knight, Sonya (Shakir McCleese), Shakeela (Edward Reed), Donyell, Yakeem,
Yabeeka, Ebony, Ivory (Yasin), Latifah, Rae'Quan Knight, Jamie Johnson, Faith, Antonio Jr. (Rita), Octavius (Zulay), William, Tanrisha Knight and additional children; a godchild Curtis Horne; special cousin Elaine Bradwell; a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held 11am Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at , Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton, NJ.
