Louise T Fountain, 87, of Trenton, New Jersey, peacefully departed this life at home surrounded by family on April 2, 2026. Born on February 7, 1939, in Trenton, she remained a lifelong resident of the city she loved.
Louise was educated in the Trenton Public School System and went on to become a woman of both creativity and service. In the late 1960s, she proudly opened one of her many beauty businesses, "Louise's Creative Hairstyles," where her talent and eye for style flourished. She later dedicated 35 years of service as a social worker with MCBOSS, where she touched countless lives before retiring.
Louise was well known for her vibrant personality and unmistakable sense of style. She had a love for flashy clothing, beautifully designed nails, and creative hairstyles. Her passion for decorating shined through her love of gold and mirrors, making her home a reflection of her bold and elegant spirit and we can't forget her pink Cadillac. Above all, she will be remembered as someone who did everything with excellence and flair.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruth How1en; her beloved husband, Orville Big O Fountain; her sisters, Katherine Bowlen, Lena Reckley, Brenda Howlen, Edna Bowlen, and Ruth Ann Howlen Birk; and her special nephew, Anthony Howlen.
Louise leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving children, Lena Fountain, Carolyn Goodridge (Oliver), Renee Fountain (\\falter), and Andre Bowlen. She is also survived by her sisters, Gloria Gordon (Johnnie), Shirley Alexander (George), Betty Clark, and Joan Howlen.
She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Tykisha Fountain Manley (Calvin), Nashannea Ferguson (Corri),Melodie Green (Alex), Olivia Newman (Brian), Ashley Goodridge, Oliver Goodridge Jr (Jackie), Erin Howlen, Paris Howlen, Nasir Howlen, and Liam Howlen Tiyon, Tijon & Tizhir Spalding, Calvin, Germani and Carter Manley, Emery and Bellamy Green, Ava and Zoey Newman, Trinity, Jasmine and Tehlor Johnson; best friends Lotty,. Patiline, and Ennis, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Louise's legacy of creativity, strength, and love will live on in all who knew her.
Funeral service will be 11am Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
