Lucille Holloway

Lucille Holloway was born July 22, 1929 in Bennettsville, South Carolina to Joseph Rose Morrison. She, with her family, relocated to the north, where she lived sixty years in both Ewing and Trenton, New Jersey. 

She was educated in the Bennettsville public school system. Lucille was employed at Hollowbrook Community Center, from where she retired. She also worked for American Laundry. 

Lucille attended and was a member of St John's Baptist Church. In her leisure time, she enjoyed being outdoors tending to her garden. Lucille was a dedicated home­maker. She loved spending time with- her family and adored the time she spent with her grandchildren. 

Predeceased in death by: parents Joseph and Rose Morrison; husband Robert L. Holloway; sister Sarah Lee Saunders; brothers Elder Joseph Morrison Jr., and Willie James Morrison; nephew Larry Morrison; stepson Robert L. Holloway Jr.; step­ grandson Ronald Cunningham. 

Lucille's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by her niece Janish Anderson, Trelesa Newman, Shiella Bowler; nephew Bruce Morrison; stepson Sterling (Hazel) Holloway; stepdaughters Joyce Cunningham and Shirley Cunning­ham; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren and three great great grand­children; a host of other relatives and friends. 

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 

Thou preparest a table before rne in the pr~sence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 

Funeral service will be 1pm Friday, April 30, 2021 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618.  Calling hour will be 12pm until the time of service.  Interment will be at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Ewing, NJ.
