Lucinda Thomas

Lucinda Thomas was born on May 26, 1943, in Montgomery, Alabama. On Friday October 8, 2021, God sent his most trusted angels on a mission. Those angels gently carried Lucinda to her eternal home. 

Lucinda Thomas was the third child of the late Daniel and Mary Elisha Scott. She was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. Cindy as she was called by family and friends was educated in the Montgomery Alabama School System. She relocated making Trenton, NJ her home. She worked at and retired from New Method Cleaners; she was a devoted, faithful worshipper of Better Life Empowerment Church. Lucinda was quietly attractive, kind and gentle, she was also a devoted appreciative friend to many. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, singing, listening to gospel music, attending church, watching her daytime TV/movies, playing bingo; however, her ultimate pleasure was caring for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and getting to know her great­ great grandchildren. Lucinda always had a ready smile, a keen sense of humor and loving wisdom that she gladly shared with her loved ones and others, which is why she was fondly called "Grandma" by many. 

Lucinda was preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Thomas, her parents Daniel Scott Sr. and Mary Elisha Scott, her sister Rosa Scott, her brothers Daniel Scott Jr., Jessie Scott, and her granddaughter Keneka Thomas. 

Although Lucinda s journey has ended, she leaves to cherish her memory, five children Doris Thomas of Union, NJ, Mose (Tonya) Thomas of Ewing, NJ, Willester (La 'Qundra) Thomas of Montgomery, Alabama, Tonnette (Clifford) Thomas of Sicklerville, NJ and Billy (Larcella) Thomas of Trenton, NJ,fourteen grandchildren, James, Mario, Shameka, Shiekia, Latora, Clifford, Isaiah, Billy, Shanese, Monet, Janae, Teja, Quinton and Xavier, thirty great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and an additional daughter Felicia Brannon, friends and her church family. 

Funeral service will be 11am Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Hughes Funeral home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ.
