Maggie Johnson Obituary

When someone you love becomes a memory that memory becomes a treasure.  With much love spread and many memories shared. our beloved Maggie accepted her angel's invitation into the kingdom on Thursday. March 25. 2021 at Samaritan Hospice in Trenton. New jersey. As a result, our hearts are less bright, but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace, and laughter.  

Maggie Lou Johnson, born December 15, 1935 in Wadley, Georgia to Malachi and Mary Young.  

She attended school at Jefferson Elementary School and Trenton Central High School. She was employed as a Home Health Aide for Mercer Street Friends and she was also a Homemaker.  

Maggie attended Beauty Grove Primitive Baptist Church. In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading her Bible. She also enjoyed Bible Crossword Puzzles, cooking, and baking. She loved listening to gospel music. Maggie will also be remembered for her crocheting and knitting. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her parents Malachi and Mary Young; her brothers Roma Dell Young, Havord Young and Roy Young; her sister Versa Mae Smith; a stepsister Wila Mae; her son Edward Johnson; a son-in-law joseph Carmichael.  

Maggie's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by Lillie Ebron,  

Naomi Harris, James Young (Jerolyn], Jonathan Johnson (Patricia), Debra Ann John­son, Lillian Carmichael, Rose Campbell (Bentley), Russ Johnson, Tiffany Carmichael, Kendra Johnson, and Charlene Campbell; her special friends IIee Inman, Annette Dixon, Mary Brown, and Ms. Sarah Guyton; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. 

 

 

Services will be 10am Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of services. Interment will be at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Ewing, NJ.
