Marcus Evans Obituary

Marcus Shawn Evans, age 48, of Trenton, New Jersey, departed this life on Saturday, May 10, 2025. He was a devoted father, beloved son, beloved brother, cherished uncle and nephew, loyal friend, and a vibrant spirit to all who knew him. Born on June 18, 1976, to his Mother Dorothy Evans (née McGuire) and late Father Larry Evans, Marcus was a lifelong resident of Trenton. He attended Trenton Central High School and proudly earned his GED in Tennessee shortly thereafter. He was known throughout the city of Trenton as Dee J Undah, Marcus brought life to every event he touched. His love for music and the nightlife defined much of his passion, and his energetic presence behind the turntables made him a local favorite.

Marcus also worked for several years as a bus driver with Rick Bus Company and was a dedicated member of the Ghostface Ryderz Inc. Motorcycle Club. He took great pride in his work, his club, and his unwavering loyalty to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Marcus was known for his bold personality, quick wit, and commanding presence. His spirit was magnetic- those who met him remembered him.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Larry Evans, Grandmother Mildred McGuire and Grandfathers, Arthur Lee Evans and Mac McGuire. Marcus leaves behind his loving mother, Dorothy Evans; his children: Nayanna Evans, Jamaya Blount, Nevach McDaniel, and Markere Evans; his sisters: Pam Youngblood (Ervin) and Kiwana Evans; and a host of nieces and nephews: Shafea Evans, Lillian Evans, Lamont Hames, Shamiera Evan, Lazaria Youngblood, and Laila Youngblood. He is also survived by his spouse, Tiffany Green; great-nieces and nephews; special aunt including Janet Covington; cousins; and his grandmother, Etta Mag Lians.

Marcus will also be deeply missed by his chosen brothers: Antonio Lane, Leonard Davis, Dwayne Woodbury, Toote Williams and Steve Price, along with countless friends and extended family members who loved and respected him. Though he has departed from this life, Marcus's music, laughter, and legacy will continue to echo in the hearts of those he touched.
