When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure.
Marilyn, our sweet angel, went home to be with the Lord on Monday,December 4,2023, at Penn Medical Center of Princeton. Adored by all who had the pleasure to meet her, she will be greatly missed.
On February 22, 1937, Marilyn was "born to Beverly & Ethel Randolph in Trenton, NJ. She was raised and spent most of her life in Hightstown, NJ.
She graduated from Hightstown High School. Everyone knew her and did not hesitate to visit her home or talk to her on the phone. She had a way of making everyone feel special and putting a smile on their faces.
She was employed at McGraw Hill Warehouse for over 30 years and was a member of St. James A.M.E Church in Hightstown, NJ. She loved going to church and listening to the sermons. Marilyn also enjoyed going to her late son in law's church, Mt. Zion A.M.E church and her grandson's church, Power City.
Two of her many gifts were serving and giving. She could not sit still. She had to be helping someone. Also, you could not leave her house empty-handed. Being involved in missionary work brought her joy. One of her services included distributing food and socks. Many people were blessed by her selfless acts.
In her downtime, she could be seen watching General Hospital and the Philadelphia 76ers. This was the time she dedicated to herself. Collecting dolls and dressing them up was something that she enjoyed doing. She loved traveling, playing Pokeno, and spending time with her family and friends. This past October was her last vacation to Florida with her family. She had a great time sitting outside by the pool, listening to karaoke, and going into the jacuzzi. These are the memories we will cherish forever.
Marilyn Bailey is predeceased by her parents Beverly and Ethel Randolph; brother Philip Randolph, Sr.; daughter Donna 'Sissy' Bailey; and her son-in-law Rev. Jasper T. Daniels Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons Robert Bailey (Yvonne) of Chicago, IL, Hubert 'Roscoe' Bailey of Hightstown, NJ; Her daughter Denise Daniels of Newark, NJ; Her Grandchildren Toni Bailey (Gordy), Jasper Daniels (Natasha), Charnele Brown (Jaren), Matthew Daniels, Philip Bailey; 6 Great- Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren; and a host of nieees, nephews, cousins and friends.
Throughout her life she was a dedicated and faithful servant to God. Her faith was strong and she was at peace. She wanted everyone to know that she loved them. She will be in our hearts forever.
