Mark Anthony Jenkins was a free-spirited young man. Originally from Trenton, New Jersey, Mark was proud that he made the choice to leave Trenton to move to Flemington, New Jersey!
Mark, father, nephew, cousin, and friend departed this life on January 12, 2026.
Mark was born in Trenton, New Jersey to the Late Michele M. Picott and Archie Gibson on December 19, 1968. When Mark was born, he was affectionately known by his mother, as "Soul Brother, Brown Sugar.
Mark graduated from Trenton Central High School and held several jobs in and around the Mercer County area, the last being at Amazon.
Mark loved his family and loved to eat! He could have been a "galloping gourmet because he loved to cook.
Mark was preceded by his parents Michele Picott and Archie Gibson; a great grandparent Ollie M. Meeks, and his grandparents the late Theodore "Pop-Pop" and Mercedes "Nana" Jenkins. "The eldest of all his cousins, Mark leaves to cherish his memories two successful sons, Mark Jenkins, Jr., (Erykah), and Najee Victor; one beautiful grandchild Zana Jenkins; one uncle Theodore Jenkins, Jr., and his wife Kim Cherry-Jenkins; two aunts who were his guardian angels, Sharon L Young and Deborah Jenkins-Driver; one great-aunt Robin Meeks; thirteen cousins, a special cousin, Tamara Smith, William (Billy) H. Young, II (Melissa), Salena L. Rutherford (Marquise), Maurice Driver and Justin Driver; Anaiya Smith, Raymond Wicks, Bryce A. Rutherford, Miles A. Young, Braylon A. Rutherford and Viviana Driver and a host of relatives (Janae Smith, a special cousin who Mark visited with when he was in Trenton) and friends.
Funeral service will be 12pm Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be at 11am until the time of service. Interment will be at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Ewing, NJ.
