Mary Higgs

With much love spread and many memories shared, our beloved Mary accepted her angel's invitation into the kingdom on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in Trenton, New Jersey. As a result, our hearts are less bright, but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter.

Mrs. Mary Higgs was born March 11, 1935 in Camden, Alabama to Bessie Gregory.

She was educated in the Camden public school system. After relocating to Trenton sixty years ago she was employed by Trenton Custodian Services.

In her leisure time, Mary loved listening to music and dancing.

She was preceded in death by her mother Bessie Gregory; her brother Odis McCaskill; her sister Fannie Payton; her son Anthony McCaskill.

Mary's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by her daughters Patricia McCaskill of Morrisville, PA and Angel (Rodman) Byrd of Trenton, NJ; her sons Tyrone (JeNelle) Higgs of Tulsa, OK, Jerome (Annette) Higgs of Ewing, NJ and Johnny (Michelle) Higgs of Trenton, NJ, Art and Bonavena (Percola) Higgs; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 3pm Friday, June 9, 2023 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618 . Calling hours will be 2pm until the time of service. Interment will be private.
