Mary Littlejohn Obituary

 

Mary Y. Littlejohn, was called home to be with the LORD, Sunday, April 4, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family She was born in Rockingham, North Carolina on December 20, 1944 to the late Oral Covington Littlejohn and Nez Littlejohn.
 
She was educated in the Rockingham County School System (Leak Street High School). Aunt Mary (Von) as she was affectionately called accepted Christ at an early age. She was a resident of Trenton for so plus years. She was employed by the Trenton Board of Education for over 25 years after leaving the Board of Education she went on to work for the Millhouse/Riverside Nursing Home until her untimely passing.
 
Mary loved the Lord, and was a member of New Holy Cross Church of Christ under the leadership of Bishop Willie Jones. She raised her children as best she could with boundaries and restrictions. Whatever she said her children did or else, they were not strangers to the belt and switches. If you knew her you knew she did not play As her children grew into adulthood she became less strict. Then along came her grandchildren who she loved and adored Especially, Jessica who she thought was her OH--11.
 
Mary was spunky, classy and feisty She loved to dance and thought she knew how to do the percolator always enjoyed the dance Door. She would have a fit if she was not asked to go on vacation with Cheryl. She loved to be around her family especially at cookouts and other gatherings. She Jived her life for her and no one else, very independent and worked until she was 75 years old.
 
Mary was a loving, caring Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and Friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was such a precious jewel.
 
She is predeceased by: Her Special Friend: Samuel Brown, 1 Son: Bernard Littlejohn. s Sisters: Lauretta Harrington, Leola Brewington, Dorothy Littlejohn,
Margaret Littlejohn and Barbara Ann Howard 1 Brother: William Brewington.
 
Mary leaves to cherish her memories 2 Daughters: Jacqueline Littlejohn, and Cheryl Littlejohn Davis (James). 2 Sons: Samuel Littlejohn and Warren Littlejohn. 6 Grandchildren: Jessica Littlejohn, Brittany Littlejohn, Shabria Littlejohn, Joseph Mekenzie, Brandel Littlejohn and Ja'bree Littlejohn. 3 Great Grandchildren: Omavi Littlejohn, Aah'Seer Littlejohn and Ivy Clark. 2 Brothers: Leonard Littlejohn and Gerald Littlejohn both of Rockingham North Carolina. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 

Funeral service will be 9am Monday, April 12, 2021 at Ministerios Fraternidad Cristiana, 715, Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 8am until the time of service. Interment will be at Ewing Cemetery, Ewing, NJ. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home.
