Mildred Graham-McArthur was born on May 26, 1939, in Trenton, New Jersey. On September 1, 2025, she departed this life at Preferred Care at Mercer.
Mildred was educated in Trenton Public Schools before taking classes at Warren Community College. She started working at Hunterdon Developmental Center, where she retired from in 2001 in 1971.
Mildred was smart, caring, and very hard working. She was very outgoing. She brought joy everywhere she went. She had a beautiful spirit, always laughing and joking. She enjoyed sewing and art. She was extremely creative. She often made things for her family and friends; she even created her own signature tags for the things that she made, creating her own brand.Mildred left a warm, friendly impression on those in her presence. Your work is done on this earth, and just as you always received others with open arms, Heaven accepts you with open gates today and forevermore. We couldn't have asked for a better mother, grandmother, and sibling, and we will miss Mildred every day. Her memory will live in the hearts of all those who loved her.Mildred was born to the late Daniel Graham and Emily Graham. She was one of two children. Mildred was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Graham, and her mother, Emily Graham. Her husband was Willie McArthur. Four sons: Robert and David Graham, and Wayne and Michael McArthur: Also one daughter, Regina McArthur, and one grandson, Anthony Pace.
Mildred leaves to cherish her precious memories One brother: Warren Goldstein. Three sons: Warren McArthur. Roanld McArthur and Glenn McArthur. Eleven grandchildren: Tonya Watkins, Ronald Watkins Latoshya McArthur, and Glenn McArthur Jr. Michelle McArthur and Warren Johnson, Sherah Johnson, Tayanna Johnson and Mike Spady, Noah Pace and Anthony Pace. One Great Nephew Quasean Goldstein. A host of great grandkids, cousins and other relatives and friends. Special first cousin Paulette Sapp- Peterson and Gwen Jones.
Funeral service will be 11am Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service. Interment will be at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
