Mildred Mapp

When someone you Jove becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure.

With much love spread and many memories shared, our beloved Mildred accepted her angel's invitation into the kingdom on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Capital Health Hospital. As a result, our hearts are less bright, but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter.

Mildred Mapp was born in Bristol, Pennsylvania on January 10, 1949 to Virginia Harrington and Lonnie Little.

She was educated in the Pennsylvania public school system. Mildred was employed as a supervisor at Mercer Arc, and she also worked at the Holiday Inn as a housekeeper.

In her leisure time, "Millie Mill" as she was affectionately called, enjoyed playing bingo and cards with friends. She loved to shop, and Mildred loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her daughters Jacqueline Gibson and Cheryl Mapp.

Mildred's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by her husband Lewis Mapp; her children, Mack D. Gibson (Veronica), Pamela Wessels, Lennetta Gibson, Ulysses Gibson (Tiana), Delores Sneed, Lewis Mapp Jr., Connie

Brewington, Brian Mapp and Mark Mapp, Rodney McRae and Sonya Richards; her special son Bishop Joseph Randolph; twenty-nine grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

We thought of you with love today but that is nothing new

We thought about you yesterday and days before that too, .

We think of you in silence, we often speak your name,

all we have are memories and your picture in a frame.

Your memory is our keepsake with which we'll never part,
God has you in His keeping and we have you in our hearts.

Funeral service will be 11am Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service. Interment will be at Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Ewing, NJ.
