 THE TRIUMPHAN  LIFE OF 

Dr. Nathalie Manigault-Reed 

 

Dr. Nathalie Manigault Reed age 87 departed this life Thursday, March 14, 2024 at home. She was born in Charleston, South Carolina, to Nathaniel Manigault Sr. and Henrietta Major Manigault. She lived in Moncks Corner, South Carolina with  her parents. She resided there until she began college Years later she met and married Lonnie Reed on April 28, 1962. They moved to Trenton, New Jersey and remained here. 

She  was educated at Berkeley County public schools. She graduated from Allen University in Columbia, SC with a Bachelor of Arts Degree; graduated Trenton State College with a Master of Education; Honorary Doctorate of Divinity D.D. Degree from International Christian University; Diploma in General  Christian Education while attending Jameson School of Ministry. 

Dr. Nathalie was employed as a teacher at Berkeley Training High School in Moncks   Corner,  SC   for three years; Trenton  public school teacher1962-1975;  curriculum,  1975-1980;  Assistant  Principal at Junior #5, 1984-1987; acting Principal at Carroll Robbins, Washington School and Robeson,1988-1989;   Principal at   Woodrow Wilson  Elementary  Schcool, 1989-1997. She retired July -1997 from the school system for healtit reasons.

She  was a member of Solid Rock United Pentecostal Church Inc, Hopewell, NJ; Evangelist, Missionary, Secretary and Trustee of Solid Rock  United Pentecostal  Church Inc.; former rtrmember of  Mitten Lane First Born NazAreth  First Born and Bethel First  Born  Churches; Director of International Ministries of World Wide Abundant Life Fellowship. Inc.; Vice President and Secretary of the Christian Women Encouragement Ministries; past President of afohal the Missionaries; Interdenominational former Missionary Secretary-Treasurer Society; of Advisor of Women's The Aglow Interntional, Trenton Chapter; former Chairperon of Trenton's Women's Aglow Prayer; member of Tuesday Community Intercessory Prayer Circle; assisted with Vacation Bible School and Grant Chapel, Samaritan Baptist, Bethel, Nazareth First Born and Hornes Temple churches; children's Teacher at Miracle Tabernacle Bible School; Missionary Team to Ghana, West Africa for ICAM under the leadership of Dr. Chester Williams; Bible Study Teacher at Arcadia Rehabilitation and Nursing Center; President of the Women of Faith Ministry under the leadership of Pastor JoAnn Wilson with Ministry emphasis to senior women including Bible and Prayer retreats in the Pocono Mountains.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother Evangelist Emily Brown; paternal grandfather Shadwell Manigault; father Nathaniel Sr.; mother Henrietta Major Manigault; brothers Earl C. Manigault, Harry Manigault and Nathaniel Manigault Jr; four aunts and seven uncles Nathalie's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by an attentive devoted, caring and loving husband Pastor Lonnie Reed, "My Sweetheart"of 62 years; one sister Attomey Dorothy A. Manigault of Greenville,SC; one sister/niece Sonya D. Weathers of Moncks Corner, SC; spiritual daughters Rev. Beverly Williams of Willingboro, NJ, Pastor Lola Atunerase of Yardley, PA, Demoda Reed Ogunsanya of Hillside, IL; spiritual son Bishop Michae Atunerase of Yardley, PA; godsisters Elder Merrill Pearson, Vivian Byrd and Evangelist Brenda Cusack.church families; a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; spiritual children and god children too.

Funeral service will be 9am Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Grace Cathedral Fellowship Ministries Church, 1217 Rev. S. Howard Woodson Jr. Way, Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 8am until the time of service. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
