Nelson Morales, Jr.

With much love spread an many memories shared, our beloved Nelson accepted his angel's invitation into the kingdom on Thursday, February 5, 2026 in Trenton, New Jersey. As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter.

Nelson Morales Jr. was born on Monday January 27, 1986 at Mercer Hospital to Wanda Morales and Juan Ramos.

He was educated in the Trenton public school system and he graduated from Trenton Central High School. Nelson furthered his education while studying HVAC and he man-aged to earn his certification. He was employed as a caregiver.

"Mandela" as he was affectionately named, enjoyed playing basketball. He was also loved football; he was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers. He loved his family, especially his children who he truly adored. Nelson will be remembered as a person you could always count on.

He was preceded in death by his mom Wanda Morales; his father Juan Ramos; his uncle Raymond Baez; an aunt Selma Baez.

Nelson's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by his daughters Nialani Morales, Kamrielle Morales and Cori Morales; his son Miles Morales; his grandmother Margarita Baez; his sisters Christina Mendoza and Nathalie Carrero; his brothers Juan Ramos, Richard Carrero, and Habib Shu'aib; an aunt Celines Rosario; his sister/cousin Victoria Ramos; his niece Aniy'lynn; his nephews Omar, Levi, Lenox and Hendrixx; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Nelson's legacy is one of joy, laughter, and love. His larger-than-life personality and generous spirit will be missed by all who knew him. He was loved. Nelson truly lived life to the fullest. Rest in peace! You will never be forgotten.

Funeral service will be 1pm Monday, February 16, 2026 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 12pm until the time of service. Interment will be private.
