Olander Barlow

With much love spread and many memories shared, our beloved Olander accepted his angel's invitation into the kingdom on Thursday, May 11, 2023 in Hamilton, New Jersey. As a result, our hearts are less bright but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter.

Olander Barlow, was born March 23, 1959 in Trenton, New Jersey to Jason Barlow Sr. and Essie Wormley Barlow. He remained a lifelong Trenton resident.

He was educated in the Trenton public school system and graduated from Trenton Central High School. He was employed as a barber.

In his leisure time, Olander enjoyed basketball, bike rides, taking long walks and cooking.

He was preceded in death by his father Jason Barlow Sr.; his mother Essie Wormley Barlow; his brothers Sheldon Jackson, Wilbur Barlow, Spencer Barlow; his sisters Gracie Marks, Gloria Baxter, Mel Virginia Ahmed and Millie Reynolds.

Olander's memory will be cherished and forever remembered by his son Orlando Barlow; his three daughters Shavohn Armstrong, Ashley Barlow and Jazmin Jenkins; his brothers Jason Barlow Jr. (Angela) and Tinkie Jackson; his sister Geraldine John- son; first cousin Lesia Semple; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and close friends.

You can shed tears that he is gone, Or you can smile because he lived. Your heart can be empty because you can't see him, Or you can be full of the love you shared ..You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday You can remember him and only that he's gone, Or you can cherish his memory and let it 'live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back, Or you can do what he'd want: Smile, open your eyes, love and go on. You bid no one a last farewell, he said goodbye to none his loving heart but ceased a beat, his stay on earth was done. 

 Funeral service will be 11am Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618 . Calling hour will be 10am until the time of service. Interment will be private.
