Paulette Denise Brown was born to her mother, Margaret V. Outten, on July 24, 1964. On June 23, 2026, she peacefully departed this life at home, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering strength.
Raised in Trenton, NJ, Paulette was educated in the Trenton Public School system. Throughout her life, she worked with pride and dedication at the Trenton Parking Authority and Catholic Charities roles she valued deeply and performed with integrity.
Anyone who knew Paulette knew her heart. She had a warm, lovable personality that made it easy for her to form lifelong friendships. Once you were her friend, you were family. Her witty humor, bright smile, and infectious laughter lit up every room she entered. Her grandchildren will forever remember how fiercely she stood by them - right or wrong, they were her babies, and she loved them without hesitation.
Among the family, there was always a playful joke: if you were thirsty, you must have gotten it from Paulette - because she was known to sneak a sip (or more) from everyone's drink. Her mischievous charm was just one of the many things that made her unforgettable.
But beyond the jokes and laughter, Paulette was a woman who handled business. She was dependable, strong, and always ready to step up when life demanded it.
And her heart - that big, generous heart - was open to anyone in need. Whether it was a place to stay, a warm meal, or simply comfort, Paulette's door was always open. She gave without expecting anything in return.
Her departure has left the world a little dimmer, but the memories she leaves behind remind us that the sun will shine again. She now rests in heavenly peace, reunited with her grandmother Ada Marion Brown, her mother Margaret V. Outten, her God-sister Mary Troupe, her two sons Michael and George Brown, and her grandson Shaquan Brown.
Paulette leaves to cherish her memory her daughters: Latonya (Dawud) Towler, Christa, Christine, Margaret, and Shanika Brown. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Shaquir, Zyasha, Ziaire, Azorah, Mia, Serenity, Rayvon, Zion, and Syair Brown, Asia Anderson, Jaquan Woorley, Kayla Millard, and Amyrah Jones - along with a host of family and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
Let this not be our final goodbye to Paulette, but a gentle "see you later," until we meet again.
Funeral service will be 11am Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618. Calling hour will be 10am until the time of the service. Interment will be private.
